Summer Salt sits above the sand at Elouera Beach in Cronulla, with the ocean filling the windows. It has been here more than twenty years, which on this stretch of coast counts for something.
The kitchen cooks modern Australian food with seafood at the front of it and the seasons setting the rest. Hot and cold seafood platters need to be pre-ordered — there are only so many. The bar mixes signature and classic cocktails, and the wine list runs local and international.
The room is pared back and full of light. It is licensed, and BYO wine or champagne costs $18 a bottle.
Lunch is midday to 3, Wednesday to Sunday. Dinner starts at 5.30 and runs to 8 midweek, 9 on Friday and Saturday, and 7.30 on Sunday.

Groups of 11 to 30 choose between the classic and premium banquet sharing menus. Menus can change without notice. A 10% gratuity is added to the bill, and a 10% surcharge applies on Saturdays and Sundays.

Summer Salt takes up to 190 guests seated or 220 for a cocktail party. The private dining room seats 14, the bar holds 60 standing, and the main dining room divides north, seating 48, and south, seating 76.
Getting here
Summer Salt is at 66 Mitchell Road, Cronulla, on the beachfront at Elouera. There is metered and free street parking on Mitchell Road and around it, with larger council car parks a short walk away.
Cronulla station is about fifteen minutes on foot, with local buses through the area. Taxis and rideshares can drop at the entrance.

Entry is step-free and the room takes wheelchairs throughout; accessible parking bays are a short walk away.
